conquered.

Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day was awesome, as usual. I had a total of four cones: Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Peanut Butter Cup, Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz, Cookies and Sweet Cream. T'was good. Too bad the one on Bleeker wasn't participating, otherwise I probably could've gone more. But hey, I think of it as more exercise, since walking to 3rd Ave is just so far. har har har.

the first round.

Appetizer
Hummus

Main Course
Salmon Filet
w. asparagus risotto, sauteed vegetables, yellow & red tomato vinaigrette

My friends took me out to this restaurant for my surprise birthday partayyy two weeks ago. It's open 24 hours and really close to campus (and Veniero's!). The hummus was one of the best I've had in a while, the salmon was really fresh. Being me, I had to try the other entrees, which were all really good as well - Grilled Portobello Sandwich, Linguine w. Mixed Seafood, Grilled Lamb Chops, Grilled New York Strip Steak. Yum. And, for dessert, we had Veniero's cake so there was no chance to try Virage's desserts. I'd definitely go back though =)

This week is Brooklyn's restaurant week. Cecil, Lucy, Tina, and I went to a very nice Mediterranean place. For only $20.06, we got to eat at an amazing restaurant that usually averages $49 per person. The ambiance was quaint and subtle. The service was excellent and attentive. And, the food was soooooo goooooood. It was fresh, complex, and innovative. The dishes were modern in approach, such as the chick pea fries or the interesting and delicious mango and basil sorbetti. It was all plated nicely too. Sorry kids, no pictures =(

Overall Kathy Rating: definitely recommended. very very satisfied.

disclaimer: i am not a fat ass.

People seem to know me as a, food enthusiast, so to speak. I've received multiple requests for a restaurant guide, and, I often get random phone calls (from people that I never talk to) asking where certain restaurants are. Given my reputation, I think it's about time I created a blog to share my fooding with everyone.

Let's get our grub on. Itadakimasu.
